Sponsor Highlight- Raw Revolution

Nothing makes an athlete happier than knowing they're doing the best they can to take care of their body.  For the 2010 season, Scott RC is chowing down Raw Revolution Organic Live Food bars.  The best you could imagine.  The box says it all.
Taking in enough calories on long rides is tough.  Usually, by the time you've gotten enough, you feel like you'd rather take a nap than keep riding.  These things are packed with just under 300 calories per credit card size bar, which keeps me feeling like a champ and not like I'm carrying so much that my jersey feels like its hanging down to my knees.

If your not into nuts either, don't worry.  Later this summer, Raw Rev is set to release three new, non-nut based bars. (Dates and cashews are the big ingredients in the regular guys)  I got a little sneak peak and got a chance to try them out a few weeks ago.  Personally, I'm looking forward to the Tropical Banana.  Check them out.

Two races to post about tonight.

Greenbrier AMBC-
Experienced a small miracle with the weather holding out just in time for the race.  When Gunnar and I left in the morning in the team Sprinter van we had some light rain.  Every mile we drove the clouds parted and by the start of the race, the sun was shining and it was starting to actually get hot out.As soon as we pulled out of the parking lot and hit the interstate, it poured rain the whole way home.

Had an awesome race here last year.  One of those superman days that only comes once or twice each season.  This year, the legs didn't feel quite as good as then but was deceiving because my time was 3 minutes faster last year, even with the new little  piece of singletrack along the lake.  Not bad for feeling like a piece of garbage.

Granogue-

The man in the middle.
Another good result following a mediocre performance.  The first race that my parents have been too for as long as I can remember.  The last two weeks I've been doing a lot of intensity and volume, and its starting to weigh heavy on me.  Taking it easy this week, with lots of shut-eye and relaxing, and a weekend off of racing (plus some work to pay the bills) and I'll be ready to kill it for the next chunk of racing.  Looking for that superman day.  On deck in the coming weeks:  Cascade Classic, Iron Hill, and then a sweet road trip to Texas for the ProXCT race at Lance's place.
